There really are no bad questions when it comes to financial aid. I tell a lot of students and families that when they come in and they're seeing me for the first time that there are going to be a lot of complex conversations we're going to have, but by the end of their four years, they're going to be pros. We're here to help them navigate that and understand everything, understand the difference between grants and scholarships versus loans, looking at all of the extras as well. Things like room and board and how that factors into their financial aid package.
A lot of people when they're looking at colleges, they look at the sticker price of a college. And with private schools like William Peace, you've really got to look at the net price because we offer almost 100% of our students some form of scholarship or grant aid, that's going to help make that college cost more affordable. Because we are a private school, there is no difference between in-state and out-of-state tuition. Everybody pays the same tuition.
The FAFSA is the baseline for how the financial aid office figures out and determines what financial aid you're eligible for. So once that application is filled out, we're able to determine if you're eligible for any state aid, federal aid, grants or scholarships, that might be helpful for you to pay for college.
