    Scholarship Options

Scholarship options abound at WPU. Near 100% of students receive some financial scholarship, and all first-year and transfer students are considered for a merit-based scholarship and grants without additional essays or applications.

So the Office of Financial Aid works with students very closely to give them different scholarship options. And to make them aware of all of the opportunities that are out there.

There are different academic programs that you can achieve your goals in, and then there might be a scholarship that goes along with it. So if you're a theater major, and that's where your passion is, and that's really you know, you want to have your career, you can come here you have the potential to earn a theater scholarship.

So William Peace offers a broad range of scholarship options for students. Anything from our highest presidential merit awards to bonus awards for community service activities, and academic excellence. We also work a lot with students to try to help them apply for and receive outside scholarships. There's a lot of scholarship opportunities, and we're always working with our students, getting them to submit new scholarship applications and finding those additional resources that are going to make college affordable.

So the difference between a scholarship or a grant and a loan is that scholarships and grants are free money, so you don't have to pay those back. When you start looking at loans, those are things that will have to be paid back in the future. We use the admissions application to award merit aid. If you're looking for additional financial aid options, you can complete the FAFSA and we'll see what other aid options you qualify for. Nearly 100% of our students receive scholarships and grants in their financial aid package. And our awards are very competitive, to make sure that William Peace is the best value.
